New Year's Resolutions 2015
Wednesday, December 31, 2014
Hello everyone! Can you believe it's already the last day of 2014? (or even the first day of 2015 depending on where you live) This is the last post of the year, and I'm going to share a few of my resolutions for 2015.
1. Post more often!
It's so easy to get caught up in schoolwork and other things, and sometimes it's hard to make time to post regularly. I usually post once every two weeks, but I'm making it my goal to post at least every week for next year, and also put more effort into my posts and make them even better :)
2. Be healthy and fit
In the past few months, I made a pretty big effort to regulate what I ate by counting my calories and exercising more. It did help a lot, and I became a lot more aware of the nutrition in my food and eating in moderation haha. I stopped the last two weeks though because it's just not possible to count calories while eating out everyday, and who in their right mind wants to diet during the holidays? But once the new year rolls around, I will definitely be getting back on track with my fitness plan, and I hope to keep it up in the long term.
3. Read more books
I love buying books, but I've realized that sometimes my enthusiasm for reading them does not nearly match my enthusiasm for buying them. Sometimes it's easier to just flip through a magazine or watch some movies or TV shows than to actually sit down and read. Reading is definitely super important though, and I hope to make more time to read all the books I've bought, and learn new things in the new year.
4. Keep up with my skincare routine
Using masks, serums, creams, and all that jazz can really be time consuming. When I get busy, I'm often too lazy to use facial packs and masks regularly (especially since you have to keep them on for 25 minutes) and my regular routine becomes just cleanser, toner, lotion and the occasional scrub. Sometimes I'll buy a product and not even have time to use it! My goal for the new year is to do everything a lot more regularly.
5. Shop Wisely
Another big problem I have is buying things, clothes especially, without really thinking about it. Then I end up with a bunch of things in my closet that I don't even like that much, and it's a waste of money and space. I'm going to try my best to think more before buying things, and stop buying things just because they're on sale, and instead save up for investment worthy pieces that I'll actually like for a long time. Also, I should probably clear out my closet of things that I never wear (and stop telling myself that I'll wear it eventually because I won't) and donate them to goodwill, so I can clean out my closet and help others at the same time :)
I'm super excited to see what next year will bring, and I'm happy that 2014 was a great year! Thanks for reading, and please share your new years resolutions in the comments below :)
Cheers to the new year!
