kate spade stationery

Other than beauty products and clothes, one of the other things that I absolutely love is stationery. So I was pretty much overjoyed when I saw Kate Spade's new collection of stationery and school supplies in stores. In fact, when I first saw the display at a bookstore, I dragged my friends in and spent around 30 minutes admiring everything. Fan-girling over school supplies? They (and the poor salespeople in the store) probably thought I was crazy. But considering the hefty price tags of Kate Spade items, and the fact that I only had $20 with me, sadly I left the store empty-handed. But, a few months later, my wonderful friends got me a set as a gift! (The items above, minus the three pens, are the things they got me.) And honestly, the items are even more gorgeous once you own them! The pretty boxes and Pinterest-worthy designs got me inspired to take some nice pictures. So as a break from my last few text-heavy reviews, here's a post filled with pretty pictures to relax your eyes :)

Since the very first time I'd stepped into a Kate Spade store, I've loved their design concept and over-all style. I prefer it over Juicy Couture (RIP) , because many of their designs were too girly and just a little bit too much in my opinion. I love Kate Spade's simple and appealing patterns and use of Gold accents with neutrals, pops of color and overall classy concept but with a fun and cute twist. Their stationery is definitely no exception! The general theme colors are gold, black and white, and some unexpected bold colors here and there.
First item: push pins! These pretty little gold bow-ties look so nice with my pink and white bulletin board. I don't even want to take them out of the box, because the whole gold/black/white combination is just so pretty!

It's all in the details! As if the gold polka-dots and black & white stripes weren't enough, there's a pretty gold spade symbol at the bottom of each eraser. I have a big collection of pretty erasers, but I only ever use the plain ones because I can't bear to use up such pretty things. Pretty sure these erasers will never make contact with a pencil mark.
Love the notebook! Out of all stationery, I think I have the biggest obsession with paper products. Although the size of notepads isn't that practical and I can't actually use them for school, I can still appreciate how cute this gold polka-dotted notebook is! The pages are lined on one side and blank on the other, and in typical Kate Spade fashion, the inside cover is hot pink.

So that's it for my little Kate Spade stationery appreciation post, and thanks for bearing with me through my strange excitement over school supplies ♥ It pains me to think about school starting even though summer's just begun, but thinking about the pretty notebooks and pencils I'll get to use cheers me up considerably :)
You can buy these ( plus there's new ones coming out!) at any Chapters bookstore (in Canada).
I've also found the products on amazon:
Push pins ($24)
Erasers ($14)
Notepad ($10.80)

Have any other strange shopping obsessions? Crushing on another stationery collection?
Let me know!
Thanks for Reading!
Suzy

    1. I think you can still find them on chapters.indigo.ca! just search 'kate spade'. The things range from around $10 for smaller things like notepads to 35 for bigger notebooks and other things.
      Hope this helps :)

  3. I agree, Kate Spade's minimalism is much more aesthetically pleasing than Juicy Couture's! Love everything, especially the push pins, and I probably wouldn't use anything except 1 eraser XD
