Korean Skincare & makeup Haul ~ The FaceShop, Aritaum, It's Skin, A'Pieu

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Hey guys!
It's been a while, I've been super busy with moving into University and adjusting and balancing life ahaa ~
however, I've been shopping more than I should a lot recently and I have tons of stuff to share :)
This mini-haul is a bunch of stuff I purchased a couple months back (but forgot to post) that I got at Pacific Mall ( a giant asian mall in North Toronto) which is pretty much the only place I can feasibly visit that has lots of physical Korean makeup stores that aren't over-priced re-sellers! There's Missha, The Face Shop, Holika Holika, Amore pacific, Tony Moly, It's Skin, and some others... (I'm really hoping they open an Etude House store soon!) Read on to see what I got + mini reviews!
* I've also added shopping links for each product - click on the product title

Rice Water Bright Cleansing Water ~ The Face Shop
Amazon ($10.44)

I've heard a lot about this popular line from the Face Shop (especially the cleansing oil) and I've been needing a cleansing water for double cleansing so I picked this up since it was 30% off (always a sucker for those sales)
I don't double cleanse all the time, but I do quite like this product - it does a pretty good job of removing makeup and is fairly gentle. I can't really speak too much for the brightening effects yet - I feel like cleansers can't really brighten much since they only stay on your face for such a short time.

#07 Crazy Ruby & #13 Cherry coke Water Sliding Tint ~ Aritaum

I think Amore Pacific was having a buy one get one sale at Aritaum? The colors looked really nice and I like tints a lot! I'm currently obsessed with the Cherry coke color (it's not that dark irl) but the texture of both is really nice - it's moisturizing but still has amazing color payoff, It's just slightly lacking staying power

I've been wanting to get a spray sunscreen for a while since it makes it very convenient to re-apply throughout the day and it's also super light weight and doesn't make the skin feel oil or tacky. This one definitely does that - spraying it on virtually doesn't feel like anything on the skin at all and it smells really nice!

Tea Tree Toner ~ A'Pieu

I always feel like my toners run out waaaay faster than my moisturizers. This one is huge (275 mL) and tea tree is good for oily and acne-prone skin so I thought I'd give this one a try. So far it's not bad - not particularly amazing as it's slightly drying I feel so it's not the best for dry or sensitive skin.

Powdery wood eyebrow pencil #3 Grey brown ~ It's Skin

My Face Shop eyebrow pencil is running low and they're always out of stock so I though I'd try something new! I haven't gotten around to really using this one yet but I've tried it out a bit - it's still a little hard to get used to using a pencil shape brow product vs. the usual slanted/flat tip kind, but the pigmentation is definitely just right for an eyebrow pencil and it conveniently has a screw brush on the other side that it pretty nice for using

HD Perfect BB Cream ~ The Face Shop

I think I also picked this one up because it's on sale (lol) but it's pretty nice but has very low coverage compared to the purple bottle one (the cover power BB cream I think it's called).

And finally, here's all the samples I got! The stores here are definitely super generous with samples - especially at amore pacific considering I only got two lip products and they gave me a pile of Laneige samples :)

So that's it for this post, I've been doing lots of shopping in the past few months so I'll be posting lots of haul and review posts soon!

Thanks for reading,
Suzy

  3. My toner always runs out so much faster than my moisturizer, too! Just one of those little annoying things of life, LOL. That's great that they offered so many samples, though. It's fun to try out different things!
