Travel Diaries: Rome/VeniceThursday, January 22, 2015
Back with part 3 of my travel diaries! It's actually taking me forever to post all my vacation pics, I mean it's been 5 months since I've gone and I'm only on day 3 -.- Apologies for my procrastination, I promise I'll finish up this series (someday) :)
Final day in Rome, when I visited the Vatican, plus the evening spent in Venice.
Pretty rooftop views of Rome from my hotel! Imagine having breakfast here every morning :O
Inside the Vatican museums. Super glad I reserved tickets ahead of time, the line to go in was stretched around a whole block!
Some beautiful corridors inside the museum. Honestly, this place was so huge, you could probably spend days looking inside!
Delicious and very Italian-looking pasta for lunch!
Inside Vatican city, the exterior of St. Peter's Basilica. I can officially say I visited two countries that day. There were so many people (as you can see in the picture) it's insane.
Interior of St. Peter's Basilica - some more ridiculously ornate ceilings.
Did some shopping afterwards, along with a snack stop! Found this cute gelato shop which had these heavenly ice cream bars. I LOVE chocolate-dipped ice cream bars, and here they even had pistachio ice cream ones!! I am drooling just looking at this picture <3
Headed to the train station to go to Venice. Sorry for sharing all these useless food pictures but this chicken sandwich was super delicious too :)
The night in Venice! Once we got on the streets, it was just like daytime - there were so many people walking, and there were colorful shops open everywhere. I forgot all about jet-lag and sleeping ahahaa
So, I kind of resemble a crazy gypsy but the hotel lobby was just too pretty, I couldn't resist.
So, that's it for this post, look out for the rest coming soon (however long that will take me)
Thanks for reading!
